Notes for Users Using a Firewall or a Proxy Server
If you access the Client Station from your place of work, it is highly likely that you will do this through a firewall and/or a proxy server, even though some private users now use such devices. In order for the Client Station to communicate securely with our server(s), through a firewall and/or a proxy server you need to have a specific "port" open.
This must be done before you download the demo!
Problems with Download
The advantage of our "standard" installation is that it only downloads files that are actually required on the target computer, and therefore the download can be considerably faster (especially on slow lines), compared to the alternative installation.
The "standard" installation may however have problems with:
- Proxy servers that require authentication
- Proxy servers with faulty file caching implementations
